According to the rescuer, swimming is prohibited where ships sail – the Moscow Canal is just like that. “There is a current there, and quite a strong one. So it is strictly forbidden to swim in it. In general, you can’t swim where there are ships, where there are parking bases, where they ride on boats and jet skis – there’s no need to tempt fate,” explained Arshakyan.
The specialist added that you should not swim in reservoirs with strong currents – for example, in the Volga and Oka, which flow in the Moscow region. “To draw attention to this, we will conduct patrols and explain to people how to do it,” the expert emphasized.
