One of the beliefs that collapsed on November 5 is that there would be a wave of women’s votes that would tip the balance in favor of the vice president. This wave would include not only black women, young university students or urbanites with high purchasing power: conservatives or independents would also line up with the ballot in their hands and support Harris to protect the right to abortion, support sexual freedom and have the first female president of the United States.
