Lenovo has announced its support for the ASPHI Onlus Foundation: the company will make Motorola smartphones, PCs, monitors, accessories and software available to the research center which will help ASPHI researchers and staff accelerate and enhance the development and validation processes of inclusive environments, through digital technology. There ASPHI Onlus Foundation was founded in 1979 with the aim of training and integrating blind people into the world of work, with particular attention to computer programmers, and over time it has become a point of reference in the field of digital accessibility and technologies assistive.
By promoting innovation, the foundation’s projects have supported the inclusion of people with disabilities in schools and the world of work.
Lenovo’s support
In particular, Lenovo will also provide support through its own Product Diversity Officean international group born in 2019, to study the accessibility and inclusive design of Lenovo technologies, with the ambition of validating 75% of the hardware and software solutions of the entire company portfolio by 2025, so that they are accessible to all regardless of skills and abilities.
Lenovo will support ASPHI events through the volunteering of its employees, such as on the occasion of Handimatica 2024, the national event dedicated to digital technologies for inclusiveness, which will be held in Bologna in November: during the event Lenovo and ASPHI will bring to the public an immersive and accessible gaming experience for everyoneleveraging the range of Lenovo Legion gaming solutions, with the help of cutting-edge accessories and monitors.
