The suspicion of a crime behind the seizure is related to the collection of money that the prosecutor considers illegal.
Helsinki The Court of Appeal did not grant permission for further processing of the bail seizure case of the environmental business Elokapina Background Association Elonvaalijat ry. Consequently, the decision of the district court remains final.
Last autumn, the Helsinki District Court ordered the confiscation of the association’s property for 20,000 euros due to a criminal suspicion. The survivors appealed the decision to the Court of Appeal.
Criminal charges have been filed in connection with the activities of survivors. The charges concern money laundering, fraud and public incitement to commit a crime.
The suspicion of fundraising crime is related to two small fundraisers by Survivors last year. According to the prosecutor, the money was raised to fund activities that endangered public order or security or were illegal.
According to the prosecutor, all the suspects have denied having committed the crime.
