Satakunta the district court issued an interlocutory judgment on Monday in a case in which the prosecutor is demanding a 55-year-old man be sentenced to at least nine and a half years in prison for killing his wife in Rauma. The district court ordered the accused to undergo a state of mind investigation.

In his interlocutory judgment, the court finds that the man has acted as described in the indictment. According to the court, the man hit his wife three times in the neck area with the blades of a multi-tool in June. According to the district court, this was not an injury, but the man’s act was intentional.

The district court will take a position on the criminal title and possible punishment only after the state of mind investigation has been completed.
