Leapmotor models are preparing to arrive on European roads. The Chinese brand that Europa will exploit the Stellantis Group’s sales network has opened orders for the first two models that will be available for the Old Continent, the T03 and the C10. The first deliveries are expected by the end of the year. The C10 SUV will have a price starting from 36,400 euros for the Style version and 36,900 euros for the Design variant while the T03 will have a price list starting from 18,900 euros.
Leapmotor T03
Leapmotor T03 is a segment model Ahas a length of 3,620 mm, a width of 1,577 mm, a height of 1,652 mm and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm, offering four seats and compact dimensions that make it perfect for urban mobility. The exterior features a rounded and dynamic design, with a beltline that extends from the front fenders to the taillights, giving the vehicle a sense of speed and power. The 15″ aluminum alloy wheels with petal-shaped spokes complete the exterior, giving a sporty and modern look. Furthermore, the model is equipped with a cutting-edge lighting system, as demonstrated by the curved and sharp LED headlights, which include automatic headlights and the ‘Follow Me Home’ function, as well as the eye-catching LED taillights embellished with a impactful and with sharp edges. The vehicle is equipped with 74 LED units which ensure rapid ignition and better warning effect. Finally, the exterior mirrors are heated, electrically adjustable and integrate LED turn signals, always ensuring optimal visibility. The interior of the T03 is welcoming and spacious, with a head height of 960mm for the rear seats and 950mm for the front, providing great comfort for all passengers. Access is made easy by the five doors, and the 42-inch panoramic roof with electric sunblind helps create a bright and airy environment. Electric powertrain
The T03 is equipped with an electric powertrain developed completely independently by Leapmotor. The heart of the system is a 37.3 kWh battery, which allows an autonomy of 265 km in the WLTP combined cycle and up to 395 km in the urban cycle. This system is managed by an Intelligent Battery Management System (BMS), which uses cloud technology to monitor the battery’s status in real time and ensure it always operates within the optimal temperature range. Specifically, the electric motor develops a maximum power of 70 kW (95 HP) and a maximum torque of 158 Nm, which makes it very efficient in daily driving. Thanks to the lightweight design, the integrated controller reduces system weight by 28.8%, while increasing space utilization by 51.9%. The T03 is compatible with Type 2 and CCS2 charging connectors, with a 6.6 kW on-board charger and a maximum DC charging power of 48 kW. Home charging time from 30% to 80% is approximately 3.5 hours, while using a DC station, the same range can be completed in just 36 minutes.
The C10 presents itself as a large D-SUV, with a length of 4,739 mm, a width of 1,900 mm, a height of 1,680 mm and a wheelbase of 2,825 mm. The 180mm ground clearance helps ensure stability and safety on different types of terrain. Specifically, the front of the car is characterized by a balanced design, with automatic LED headlights and roof bars that emphasize the adventurous character of the vehicle. The three parallel lines placed on the side, together with the black retractable door handles and the “shark fin” antenna, add a modern and aerodynamic touch to the design. Furthermore, the rear windshield wiper hidden under the spoiler and the wraparound LED rear lights complete a technological and cutting-edge look. In detail, the bonnet is characterized by a prominent and high line, which not only gives visual power, but also plays a fundamental role in the protection of pedestrians. The front grille, with a handlebar shape, and the front bumper with well-defined and pronounced surfaces, contribute to giving a sense of spaciousness and safety. Moving on to the side section, three parallel lines can be seen on the sides, which create an impression of strength and stability, just as the rounded and full shapes of the shoulders evoke muscularity while the clear transitions accentuate the sensation of power. All emphasized by the slightly angular wheel arches.
Leapmotor C10
The interior design of the C10 is designed to offer an advanced and innovative environment with a steering wheel equipped with five-way buttons, which allows quick and intuitive control of the most used functions while driving, and the 10.25″ instrument cluster which, together with a 14.6-inch high-definition central display, helps to reinforce the impression of a highly technological car. It should be noted that the C10 uses eco-sustainable materials, such as cellulose, to reduce carbon emissions by 30% during production. With a trunk capacity of 435 liters in normal conditions, the vehicle can accommodate up to seven 20-inch suitcases. When all rear seats are folded down, the trunk capacity increases up to 1,410 litres, enough to hold 15 suitcases of the same size. The load compartment can reach a maximum depth of 1,820 mm and a width of 1,110 mm, offering ample versatility to satisfy any transport need.
160 kW motor
Leapmotor C10 is equipped with a 160 kW engine (218 HP) and a torque of 320 Nm. The battery pack, with a capacity of 69.9 kWh, guarantees a WLTP range of 420 km and can be charged with a 6.6 kW AC charger, which allows you to go from 30 % to 80% of the battery capacity in approximately 6.1 hours while, for fast charging, the DC system allows you to obtain the same result in just 30 minutes. Being able to count on Stellantis’ distribution channels, therefore, Leapmotor International aims to increase the number of Leapmotor vehicle sales points, reaching a total of 350 sales points by the end of 2024. Furthermore, in the next three years the marketing of at least one model year. THE first European markets involved are Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, which use the widespread Stellantis sales network and the support of dedicated Brand Managers. From the fourth quarter of 2024, Leapmotor’s commercial operations will also be extended to the Middle East & Africa (Israel and French overseas territories), Asia Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia) and finally to South America (Brazil and Chile) .
