The French far-right party wants to contest the migrant relocation procedure envisaged by the EU pact
Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National has called on the French government to turn to the Court of Justice of the European Union to challenge the application of the Pact on Migration and Asylum and its asylum system. According to the French far-right formation, the relocalization mechanism prevents “Member States from ensuring their essential functions” of “maintaining public order” and threatens “social policy” with too high costs for taxpayers. The Rassemblement National made use of a provision of the National Assembly, article 151-11, according to which the Lower House of Parliament can appeal to the government against a European legislative act.
