Valentino Rossi’s first 24h of Le Mans is already over without even making it to the halfway point.
The ‘Doctor’ made his debut in the Circuit de la Sarthe event with the BMW #46 of Team WRT together with Maxime Martin, managing to complete an excellent triple stint on Saturday evening, sharing the wheel with Maxime Martin and Ahmad Al Harthy, from whom he inherited the steering wheel and found himself in command of the LMGT3 Class.
In the 30 laps completed, the driver from Tavullia was truly constant as never before, always lapping at 4’00” / 4’01”, without ever making a mistake and obtaining the best lap in 4’00″460, coming second fastest of the crew, given that Martin had the reference pass in 3’59″663.
Rossi then gave the wheel back to his colleagues, but when around midnight it was Al Harthy’s turn to get back into the Belgian team’s M4, the Omani driver made a mistake by crashing and ending the trio’s adventure prematurely.
