Here we are, the long-awaited moment for Valentino Rossi is finally upon us and the dream of racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is about to come true.
From the first days of switching to 4 wheels, the ‘Doctor’ immediately said that he would like to compete in the most famous race in the world and on the weekend of 15-16 June he will have the opportunity to tackle it with the BMW of Team WRT.
The M4 GT3 #46 entered in the LMGT3 Class will see him share the cockpit with his adventure colleagues for the 2024 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship, namely Ahmad Al Harthy and Maxime Martin, with a special livery presented last week.
“The big moment has arrived: I’m at my first 24h of Le Mans, the most famous race in the world, and I’m very happy and proud to be alongside BMW and Team WRT for this great event”, says Rossi, who won in 2023 Race 2 of the Le Mans Cup event in which he took part to get to know the transalpine track.
“I took part in the Road To Le Mans last year, so I was able to get to know the track: I like the Circuit de La Sarthe very much. We will be there in the next few days and it will be a long week, but we are ready.”

For the trio it will also be the opportunity to make up for their premature exit in the 6th hour of Spa-Francorchamps, due to an accident for which they were not to blame, and to try to confirm the good things seen first in Qatar and then in Imola, where Valentino, Al Harthy and Martin took the podium.
“In the first races we were able to produce some good performances, but now we need to understand our level, speed and competitiveness at Le Mans.”
“We hope to be strong, I can’t wait to live this great experience!”
