In the final played at the Al-Awwal Stadium in Riyadh the Nerazzurri beat Napoli 1-0 thanks to a goal in the 91st minute from the usual Lautaro Martinez. The Azzurri pay the'Simeone's expulsion in the 60th minute: the attacker gets sent off for two yellow cards in the space of 5', first for a foul on Calhanoglu and then for a stomp on Acerbi.

Aggressive start to the match by Napoli who press high and keep the opponent away from their area. In the 11th minute Kvaratskhelia tries with a free kick but his shot is blocked by the wall. As the minutes passed, the reigning European vice-champions grew and took control of the match. In the 34th minute Napoli broke the siege and shows up on the counterattack, Mario Rui's conclusion and the ball goes wide. In the 40th minute Arnautovic almost took the lead, the Austrian striker took off in a regular position and after controlling it with his right foot he shot diagonally, Mario Rui deflected it into the corner and saved his shot. At 46' the match goal: triangle on the right, Pavard puts it in the middle and Lautaro in the center puts the match goal into the net.
