Carlos Tavares marks the official return of the Lancia brand to the world of rallying. The Portuguese manager has in fact got behind the wheel of the new Ypsilon Rally4 HF on the Balocco Proving Ground circuit: once behind the wheel of the Lancia-designed rally car, the Stellantis CEO was able to put the engine to the test 1.2 turbo three-cylinder 212 HP mated to a five-speed mechanical transmission with mechanical self-locking differential.

“Seeing Carlos Tavares driving the Ypsilon Rally4 HF was extraordinary – commented Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano – The 212 HP turbo engine and the precision engineering of the car are the result of our team’s passion. The Ypsilon Rally4 HF combines ambition and humility, and represents our commitment to the Rally 4 class, the heart of competition. It is only the beginning of a journey that will be exciting. Follow us on October 24-25 for more news“.
Lancia returns to rallying
If the Ypsilon Rally4 HF is designed for competition, the Ypsilon HF can be considered as its street sister, being the high-performance road version of the first car of the new era of the brand, the Ypsilon: in this case it is powered by a 100% electric 280 HP engine, and guarantees acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. We remind you that both cars will be available from 2025.
