Lo Russo had been arrested because last June she allegedly stole the files concerning her from the Court of L’Aquila
She took her own life Daniela Lo Russo, known as’Lady Coumadin‘, the 47-year-old of Apulian origins sentenced in first instance by the Pescara Court to 13 years and 8 months in prison for trying to kill her husband with Coumadin, a powerful anticoagulant. The woman committed suicide in Serra San Bruno, in the province of Vibo Valentia, in the apartment where she was serving house arrest since last Thursday after being released from the Teramo prison.
At the end of October, the 47-year-old had tried the suicide in prison and was rescued by prison officers. A few days ago a psychiatric report had established that she could have followed the hearing on 21 December in the presence of the trial that sees her accused of attempted murder. Lo Russo was arrested because last June she would have the files concerning her stolen from the Court of L’Aquila, where the Court of Appeal was called to decide on the appeal relating to his conviction, and shortly thereafter he would burn that material on the way home.
‘Lady Coumadin’ was known in the Pescara chronicles for several episodes: in the summer of 2020, towards the end of her trial for the attempted murder of her husband, five fake parcel bombs in front of some offices in Pescara, including the Court and the Carabinieri Command, and in front of the door of the magistrate who supported the accusation, to whom a threatening message was also addressed. Last May, the woman was also notified of a seizure order for a property deemed to be the proceeds of a scam against a well-known businessman from Pescara.
