Groenewoud and Schouten qualify for final mass start
Skaters Marijke Groenewoud and Irene Schouten qualified for the final of the mass start on Saturday. Groenewoud, reigning world champion in this section, finished in fifth place in the first half, despite a fall halfway through the race. Schouten, who won World Cup gold on the mass start in 2015 and 2019, finished fourth in the second semi-final. A place in the top-8 was sufficient for both skaters for a place in the final.
The final of the mass start will take place today at 10:00 AM.
Kramer and Bergsma to final mass start
Skaters Sven Kramer and Jorrit Bergsma qualified for the final of the mass start on Saturday, the last part of the Olympic skating tournament in Beijing.
