A WELL-KNOWN BUSINESS BURNS. A terrifying fire reduced the saddlery shop owned by well-known neighbor Enriqe Peña, located at Obregón 235, to ashes, an incident that caused losses estimated at half a million pesos. The courageous intervention of the Fire Department, risking their lives, prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring establishments and houses, which would have had catastrophic consequences. Apparently, it was a short circuit that caused the incident when the business was closed, discovered until everything was on fire.
KISSINGER CONTINUES ITS PEACE DEMANDS. Damascus. US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, having completed his third week of shuttle diplomacy, met with Syrian President Hafez Assad in an attempt to achieve the separation of Syrian and Israeli troops. The meeting was crucial for Kissinger, given that he would return to Israel that night, showing signs of some progress being made, if he wishes to succeed in reaching a troop disengagement agreement. Had there been no progress, Kissinger would most likely have been forced to fly back to Washington and later return to the Middle East in a new attempt to reach an agreement. After his meeting with Assad, he did not issue any statement. The Secretary of State left Israel with the Jerusalem government’s final concessions regarding the separation of troops. Depending on Assad’s decision, Kissinger is expected to be back in Damascus after having one more meeting with Prime Minister Golda Meir. If an agreement is reached, there is a good chance that the disengagement agreement will be signed in Geneva as Middle East peace talks resume. Syria and Israel fought again today with artillery and rockets on the Golan Heights front for the 62nd consecutive day.

Sinaloa farmers will meet with Sagar’s secretary, Románico Arroyo, to raise the serious problem of the drought that afflicts the countryside and which is highly worrying because the dams in the center of the state already have water storage of three percent of their capacity. capacity and those north of 10 percent. In Ahome, farmers were forced to resort to the threat of criminal lawsuits against CNA directors, holding them responsible for the crop accident because they did not supply water for irrigation.
