The developer Hoshikuzu KRNKRN is pleased to announce that a remake of Kirisame ga Furu Mori, L’exploration horror game originally released in 2013, it is currently in the works for PC Street Steam, and its release is set for 2022.
Born as a freeware game, the original Kirisame ga Furu Mori was developed using RPG Maker VX Ace. The upcoming remake promises various upgrades, including completely recreated maps and some additional ones, and a story capable of changing according to the choices made by the player, with a greater number of routes and multiple endings.
The game will also be able to count on a new scenario, which will offer the plot a better perspective.
Below we offer a small introduction to the plot proposed by the game:
After losing her parents in an accident, college student Shiori Kanazaki no longer had any family. While immersed in cleaning, Shiori comes across a photograph of herself as a child with her parents, an old grandfather, and the text “Azakawa Village”.
“I would like to visit my parents’ hometown. If that old man is there, I’d like to meet him and talk to him… ”Driven by loneliness and hope, Shiori headed for the village. But what awaited her was a mysterious museum, a deep forest behind it, and the mysterious museum manager Kotarou Suga, who had sternly warned her not to set foot in the forest.
Regardless of the danger, the girl flees into the forest, when a series of memories come to her mind and a series of voices urge her to continue.
Alas, that was the “promised place” where Shiori should never have entered …
