“The complainant worked for 20 months as an assistant and maintenance staff since September 2019. Keylor Navas demanded that he be armed and that made him constantly fear for his safety,” Mundo Deportivo newspaper said in a report.
And he added: “Contacted by ‘BFMTV’the man stated that he worked at least 60 hours a week for a monthly salary of 3,200 euros paid in cash, without being the subject of a pre-employment declaration, or taxes, and even less of a payroll file.
What is known is that, according to what the complainant says, Navas “housed him in a basement, humid and without windows.” A video recorded by him shows an argument with Keylor Navas during which he asks him to put his situation in order.
“Here we do not work with French laws and without a French contract, I pay you in cash, we work according to my rules2, the doorman told him.
The employee claims that Navas promised him an employment contract but never fulfilled it.
“He explains that his hiring was conditional on being able to be armed – he had a shooting license – and leaving a shotgun, a category C weapon, at Navas’ house,” says the Catalan newspaper.
“Kelyor Navas used that weapon in his garden, sometimes in the middle of the night. A video shows the Parisian guard handling the rifle and shooting with it. “He used the shotgun that I had,” confesses the complainant,” the report stated.
Finally, the employee said, “Sometimes he would shoot like that on his property, just to please himself or show his friends.”
