Kercher/Amanda Knox murder back in an Italian courtroom: the hearing in Florence
Amanda Knox again in an Italian courtroom, with a completely different appearance and face compared to that evening in which she was acquitted of the charge of having killed Meredith Kercher and released from prison after almost four years. That day she burst into tears, transfigured and then smiling not even 24 hours later as soon as she reached the Rome airport to return to the USA, to Seattle, with her family. Today, however, she showed up with bob hair, a pink t-shirt and a blue skirt, but above all a relaxed face. The American girl arrived in Florence to participate at the hearing before the Assize Court of Appeal called to establish whether he is responsible for slander against Patrick Lumumba (in the context of the legal case for the murder of Meredith Kercher, carried out in Perugia and for which she was definitively acquitted). Trial celebrated after the Court of Cassation, implementing a decision of the European Court of Human Rights, annulled the three-year sentence, postponing the proceedings to evaluate the feasibility of the crime in relation only to the memorial written by the American on the morning of 6 November 2007.
The American arrived at the courthouse with her husband Chris Robinson. No statement to journalists but one of his defenders, Luca Luparia Donati, announced that he will make spontaneous statements in the chamber. The Court’s decision is expected to arrive today. For Knoxthe general prosecutor of Florence asked confirmation of the conviction Anyway already served with the almost four years spent in prison before being acquitted on appeal for the Kercher murder. According to his defenders, the lawyers Carlo Dalla Vedova and Luca Luparia Donati, she was instead a “victim” of the “violation of her defense rights” and of the “media trial”. She is therefore acquitted. In the trial you are a civil party Lumumba (his lawyer Carlo Pacelli asked for confirmation of Knox’s responsibility for the slander) not in court today.
Amanda Knox returns to the courtroom, the post on X: “I will clear my name from false accusations”
A few days ago Knox, while awaiting trial, he wrote on X: “On June 5th I will enter the same court room where I was reconvicted for a crime I didn’t commit, this time to defend myself once again. I hope to clear my name once and for all from the false accusations against me. Wish me good luck. Damn the wolf!”
On June 5th, I will walk into the very same courtroom where I was reconvicted of a crime I didn’t commit, this time to defend myself yet again. I hope to clear my name once and for all of the false charges against me. Wish me luck. Damn the wolf!
