Among the most interesting innovations presented during the Day of the Devs there is also KARMA: The Dark Worlda psychological thriller developed by Pollard Studio and published by Wired Productions and Gamera Games.
The game is a first-person adventure that transports us into a world composed of realistic and other science fiction or horror-like elements, staging a alternative version of East Germany from the 80sin which a giant corporation controls society.
The Leviathan Corporation implements direct control over every aspect of citizens’ lives, including their thoughts and memories, thus building an apparently normal society but profoundly subjugated to a central will.
A mind-blowing journey
In this psychological thriller we play Daniel, a itinerant agent of the Office of Thoughts of Leviathan, with the task of investigating some events that occurred at a specific moment in the past.
The case ends up plunging us into a world of espionage and betrayal, full of important dark secrets.
Daniel will find himself discovering apparently crazy technologies, which allow total control over people’s minds and which can lead to modifying memories and events of the past, effectively acting on the present through the creation of new consequences and chain events.
All this is punctuated with distressing and dark visions, staging a hallucinatory journey through the darkest parts of the mind. KARMA: The Dark World doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s coming soon PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
