Marco Ottolini, who inherited responsibility for the project and the loans of Juventus players from Claudio Chiellini last summer, visited the Altinordu facility, which boasts the most important youth sector in Turkey.
modus operandi
–

The Turkish club, within its own structure, has a real farm that is cared for by the members, with the idea of “forming the mentality of the man first and the player afterwards. I really enjoyed it ”. Returning to football: “Altinordu’s core business is the youth sector. We also do our best but taking into account the needs of the first team “. Hence the assist to present the Second team project: “Juventus is investing a lot in the youth academy, the Under 23 team that plays in the third division gives our young players the opportunity to make the leap between the professionals and check if they are ready for the level of the club “.
THE NAMES ON THE NOTEBOOK
–
Two of the most talented talents that Altinordu has produced in recent years: Caglar Soyuncu (central defensive at Leicester) and Cengiz Under (ex Roma, now at Olympique Marseille). On the latter, Ottolini: “I had seen him in the Under 19 national team a few years ago, he was really impressive. I have always appreciated Turkish players very much, I believe the national team has many elements of talent, a lot of quality. In the past we have taken a player from Turkey, Merih Demiral, he did very well with us ”. And the names to be kept under observation in the current Altinordu stable? Two names above all: Barak Ince, midfielder born in 2004 already in the sights of many top European clubs, from Liverpool to Manchester City; and Ines Destan, center striker born in 2003, already in the big league for some seasons and with a lot of market in Europe. Will they have a future at Juve? Not necessarily.
