The future of Álvaro Morata can take a completely unexpected new turn. A few months ago Juventus had no intention of keeping the striker once his loan ended at the end of the season and with the signing of Dusan Vlahovic everything seemed to indicate that the Spaniard’s hours in Turin were numbered.
However, the striker is a very important player for Massimiliano Allegri, he has participated in 32 games in all competitions, and would have decided to stay with the Spanish player beyond this season. Let us remember that it was the Italian coach himself who refused to let Morata leave in the winter market for Barcelona.
That is why from Italy they point out that Juventus would be thinking of taking over the player as property in the next transfer market but they are not willing to pay the 35 million euros that were established in the transfer contract with Atlético de Madrid. As reported from CalciomercatoJuve would prepare an initial offer of 15 million more and would be willing to reach a maximum of 25, a figure that Atleti will not accept in principle.
However, Morata ends his contract with the rojiblanco team in June 2023, so they cannot ask for large amounts since he is entering the last year of his contract and they would be facing one of his last opportunities to make money with the striker.
For now, Allegri has preferred not to speak publicly about his plans with the striker: “Talking about Morata is technically pure madness. But talking about the transfer market right now doesn’t seem to be the case… Now he’s doing very well and he’s calm. We need be focused on the moment to get results. Then in June we’ll see,” said the coach at a press conference.
