Napoli, De Laurentiis does not give up on the appeal against Juve for the Club World Cup
Juventus at the FIFA Club World Cup which will be played in June 2025 in the USA with 32 teams at the start and two Italian (the other is Inter who have already qualified for several weeks). But Napoli doesn't give up. According to what Il Mattino reports, Aurelio De Laurentiis “still contacted his international lawyers yesterday to take stock of the appeal against Juventus: because Napoli really believes that there are margins. And it matters little that Infantino has already welcomed the Juventus at USA 2025. A message that greatly annoyed De Laurentiis due to its timing and methods.”
Appeal to FIFA or a sports tribunal? “Here, one of the first dilemmas to resolve. But De Laurentiis doesn't give up. This Champions League, in any case, will bring the blue club around 70 million euros. Not exactly pennies: it will be another record turnover that ends on the 30th June, with another important profit – reports Il Mattino – De Laurentiis' issue is the salary of Osimhen: unsustainable for a club that also thinks of a salary of no more than 75 million next season.”
“If we were to beat Barcelona and then get a draw and a win, we would be qualified by right. But I also think that Napoli should go anyway, precisely because if Juventus was punished by UEFA with elimination from the European cupsshould not even be admitted to the Club World Cup, without prejudice to the fact that this event will create a thousand problems for us for the subsequent national championship”, Aurelio De Laurentiis said a couple of weeks ago at the 'Business of Football Summit' in London.
