The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has announced that the Government and the Belgian companies Drylock and Asistem will invest 95 million euros to create some 400 jobs in the Polígono de los Hitales located in Bernuy de Porreros, in the province of Segovia.
Specifically, Mañueco held a meeting this Wednesday in Brussels with the heads of four Belgian companies, Drylock Tecnnologies, Asistem, VPG and SOFINA, to whom has presented the advantages that the Community offers as an investment destination for its “location, infrastructure, quality of its training centers, institutional stability and work environment, as well as for the regional Executive’s policy to provide land and attract investments.”
After the meeting, the president of the Board, accompanied by the general director of Drylock, Miguel Ángel González, has advanced a total investment of 95 million euros, the result of the collaboration between the regional Executive and said company, which will boost industrial activity in the province of Segovia and will have an impact on the creation of 400 direct and indirect jobs.
An investment that contemplates the construction of a new factorylocated in the Polígono de los Hitales, in the Segovian town of Bernuy de Porreros, to which Drylock will allocate 40 million euros and which will mean the generation of nearly 200 direct jobs, most of them women. This initiative will be joined an Asistem logistics platform, already underway, which involves another 30 million of direct investment and the creation of 40 new jobs.
For its part, given the economic activity needs of the company, the Government of Castilla y León will invest 24.5 million euros in this enclave to develop 108 hectares of quality land, with industrial and logistical services, in addition to renewable energy means.
Fernández Mañueco has pointed out that this initiative is included in the object of the new Territorial Development Plan for Segovia and, in turn, is part of a planning and investment strategy in industrial infrastructure of the regional Executive, with the aim of making available companies and industries that want to establish themselves in the Community, industrial land with renewable energy services and areas of logistics services that allow the development of industrial activity capable of creating quality employment. In the coming years, the creation and commercialization of more than 1 million square meters of industrial surface is planned.
