Anders Besseberg was found to have taken bribes while he was president of the International Shooting Sports Federation.
Norwegian the court has ruled against the former president of the International Biathlon Union IBU For Anders Besseberg three years and one month imprisonment for corruption.
Besseberg, 78, was IBU president from 1992 to 2018. According to the verdict, he accepted bribes between 2009 and 2018, including valuable watches, hunting trips, prostitutes' services and the right to use a valuable leasing car.
The prosecutor of the case Marianne Djupesland reported in January that the organizers and payers of the bribes were suspected to be Russian biathlon authorities.
