The president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), Josué Gomes, requested his removal from command of the entity.
According to the newspaper Valor Econômico, Gomes took leave from his position on May 10, one day after the court approved the request for judicial recovery of Coteminas, his family’s company. The leave only became public this Thursday, the 23rd. The entity confirmed that the leave will be for 40 days.
The businessman’s team confirmed to IstoÉ Dinheiro that the leave was so that he could focus on the company’s judicial recovery. The company’s debts reach R$1.1 billion.
Businessman Dan Ioschpe temporarily took over Gomes’ position at Fiesp.
