The mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, received the women’s rugby club at the Town Hall this Monday Simon Green Magnolias Coconutsbetter known as the ‘Crocodiles’. It is the first Andalusian team to reach the Honor Division of women’s rugby and which has achieved numerous successes since its inception.
The Seville councilor has highlighted “the fighting and sisterhood spirit of these women, pioneers in the world of rugby, and who, after three decades, continue to carry the name of the city of Seville to the highest category of this discipline.
Sanz has congratulated the ‘Cocos’ «for being pioneers of a sport that is increasingly spreading in our city». The ‘Crocodiles’ team – together with the president of the club, Leleand the coaching staff – have come to the Colón Hall to commemorate this anniversary and celebrate all the successes achieved. In their record they have six Andalusian league championships, two national league championshipsa national league runner-up and two Iberian Cups.
