Who is Jorge Milla?
In 2012, Jorge Milla launched his solo project with “what you give me”a song that was part of his self-titled album, the first he released and which was released three years later, in 2015. Then came the album “Navigate Dreams”in 2017, which allowed him to have his first presentations in Lima and from which one of his best-known songs came out, “You got over it.”
About the sound of his music, he said he was inspired by the bolero, the ballad of the 90s, the Creole music that he heard in his early childhood, and later combined with flamenco, bossanova, trova and rock, which he met in the adolescence.
“The songs serve as a mirror where we can reflect each other. From a very young age, music saved me. A song serves as a shoulder to cry on and a boost to get ahead in this crazy world. A song can be a floating raft when you are drowning in the middle of the sea of sorrow”, expressed Jorge Milla in statements collected by the Bolivarense portal, in 2020.
