The Suzuki driver drives a Swift Sport, highlighting “its engine, its agility and its behavior in sporty driving”
businessman and pilot
Joan Vinyes He has participated in many of the specialties of motor sports, achieving numerous victories and absolute titles. So it is not surprising that at 52 years old he is still at the foot of the canyon and considers himself a true motor and car enthusiast.
Joan got her driving license at “just turned 18”, approving the “theory the second time and the practice the first time”, she explains to this newspaper. He remembers his first car, an Opel Kadett GSI 1.8 16 V, a vehicle that keeps unspeakable secrets, which, as the word itself says, are unspeakable: “Better not tell them, if the car could talk…”, he details. But he can tell us about his first long trip, it was to Andorra, to the Valdezcaray ski resort, “just when he gave me my driving license.”
He currently drives a Suzuki Swift Sport, an excellent alternative for those looking for a small and fun car, as it has a certain sporty feel and a level of performance that is not bad at all. It has now included a light hybridization system with a 48-volt electrical network. Thanks to this system and its 10 kW electric motor that assists the combustion engine in certain circumstances, the Swift obtains the ECO label from the DGT and compensates for the loss of horsepower in the gasoline engine, which goes from the original 140 CV to 129 CV. In addition, the torque is slightly increased to 235 Nm.
The pilot highlights of his car “its engine, its agility and its behavior in sporty driving”, which responds to what he expected before acquiring it: “It is just what he was looking for”, he points out. In fact, when choosing a car, mechanics prevail over aesthetics or emissions.
Joan, who keeps four vehicles in her garage, including cars, motorcycles and bicycles, is one of those who prefers to “always” be behind the wheel, and admits that as a passenger she is one of those who spends the day giving warnings. In addition, he emphasizes that the car “does say a lot” about his dream.
