J.K. Rowling shed some light on the subject of what will be another of her future novels. The author of the literary saga of Harry Potter he has in fact declared that he has started working on a book with a “futuristic” setting, which will become his priority once he has finished the novels on Cormorant Strikeunder the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith.
Rowling teased details of her new work in a post shared on X, following questions asking whether she had considered the idea of writing a space odyssey.
There are three different books I could do after Strike, all of which I’ve started because I’m a deranged workaholic. The one I plan to finish first is futuristic, but not a space odyssey, sorry.
Rowling’s next novel, under the pen name Galbraith, will be the eighth installment of Strike, entitled “The Hallmarked Man”. Last May, at the The Times of Londonsaid he is working on two more books about Strike.
The Strike series follows the events of Cormorant Strikea war veteran turned private detective. The books have been adapted into a BBC/HBO television series, the sixth season of which began filming this year.
The fifth season, Strike: Troubled Bloodpremiered in December 2022, with a massive 8 million viewers for BBC1. It averaged 6.9 million viewers over the course of its four-part run. The Seven Strike novels have been published under Galbraith’s name, with the most recent book titled The Running Grave.
