The confirmation of the attendance of the American First Lady to the inauguration of Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum. Nearly six weeks before the elections in the neighboring country to the north, the United States is sending a clear message of rapprochement with the Mexican government. Jill Biden She would be accompanied by an important diplomatic delegation at a political moment that brings a busy agenda with many nuances.
Dr. Sheinbaum released a list of international figures who have confirmed their attendance at the inauguration, which will be on October 1 in CDMX.
As of yesterday, 105 countries and 22 international organizations have confirmed their attendance. Of the confirmed countries, 16 of them will be represented by their own presidents.
Virtually all the heads of the executive branch of their respective countries will be attending from Latin America. Mexico reaffirms a good relationship with its brothers from Central and South America. A couple of nations would be the exception, but Mexico’s leadership in the OAS countries remains.
AMLO in Sinaloa, two days after his farewell.
It will be on September 28th, when Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador I visited Sinaloa for the last time as President of Mexico. The leader of the first leftist government broke the record of his predecessors, being the president who visited the state of the eleven rivers the most times. Frankly, I lost count, but no president visited the state as many times during his six-year term as the Tabasco native.
López Obrador will end his almost twenty-year journey touring the country as an activist, candidate and president. He has heard the voice of the people, made commitments and fulfilled them to the best of his ability. He will leave office with historic votes in favor of his movement and with an approval rating of over 70%.
The reforms that are coming
Norma Piña continues to fight against the reform of the Judiciary. They cling to the popular mandate crystallized in the promulgation of the constitutional change. They brought forward the retirement age so as not to lose their benefits. At the same time, they continue to use controversies to prevent the reform from coming into force.
For their part, the states will have to approve the law and it will be their turn to reform the judicial powers of each entity. It would be important to look at the Prosecutors and that they are included in the changes to come.
On Wednesday night, the Congress of the Union approved with a large majority of 483 votes in favor, to bring justice and rights in matters of Indigenous Peoples and Afro-Mexicans. This reform will protect this group of Mexicans so that their rights are respected and the minimum level of opportunities is raised. Good for our indigenous and Afro-Mexican brothers.
