Jeep is preparing to expand its electric range with a new compact SUV. It should be the EV variant of Renegade: it will be launched around 2027 with a list price that will be around 25,000 dollars, the corresponding of approximately 23,400 euros. Confirmation of these plans came from Stellantis at an event dedicated to investors at the group’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Not just electric
According to Carscoops, the electric variant It shouldn’t be the only one available for Renegade, although the complete range obviously has not yet been defined. In any case, the focus will be on the Renegade EV, which according to the latest rumors could share much of its technology with the Citroen e-C3 announced for Europe last year, which not surprisingly starts at just over 23,000 euros.
The new Jeep Renegade EV
What would this mean? Which like the French compact could have the same lithium-iron-phosphate battery 44 kWh which gives it up to 320 km of WLTP range, the same 111 HP electric motor paired with front-wheel drive, and the same ability to support 100 kW DC fast charging across its 400 Volt electrical architecture. Of course, the elements of differentiation they will not be few: compared to the e-C3 the Renegade should be a little more robust and with some small changes to the interior.
