Madrid hosts an edition of Jazztronica (from October 20 to November 19) coming from Barcelona, a festival that fuses traditional jazz sounds with electronic bases. This innovative proposal attracts diverse audiences, offering a rich variety of sounds worth listening to. The program features high-quality performances, starting on Sunday the 20th with the Japanese trumpeter Takuya Kuroda. Born in Hyogo, Japan, Kuroda moved to New York to study at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where he honed his technique and developed his unique style. His music combines elements of traditional jazz with influences of Afrobeat, hip-hop and electronica, creating a fresh and modern proposal that has conquered critics and audiences around the world.
On Saturday the 26th it will be presented Kessoncoda West London duo consisting of drummer Tom Sunney and keyboardist Filip Sowa. His music lies between acoustic and electronic traditions, combining melodic piano with ostinatos and forceful rhythms. Inspired by a wide range of genres, such as rock, ambient and soundtracks, their sound has been conceived in a unique studio in Tom’s garden. Like other Gondwana Records artists such as GoGo Penguin and Portico Quartet, Kessoncod offers a musical experience with a strong cinematic character, where narratives and moods intertwine in stunning melodic climaxes.

His debut album, Outerstatewill be released on July 12 and reflects the fusion of their complementary personalities: Tom, with his bold drumming style, and Filip, with his introspective ostinatos melody. The title also evokes its location on the outskirts of West London and its creative process in an isolated environment.
He Friday, November 1 highlights the performance of Jeff Mills with your projectTomorrow Comes The Harvest”. This work is the result of collaboration between talented musicians exploring what makes music a special art. Inspired by the late afrobeat creator Tony Allen and techno pioneer Jeff Mills, this trio, along with veteran keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary, seeks to transcend through the intersection of sounds and rhythms in improvised movements. The performance promises to be an exploration of the unknown and a celebration of music in its purest form.
