American actor and musician Jared Leto revealed that he was involved in the protest No Green Pass in Rome on Saturday evening, posting images and videos in his stories on Instagram.
The only surviving photo of the actor and musician’s “reportage” reads as follows:
I ended up in the middle of a protest in Italy. From what I understand, it was about the mandatory vaccination and the green pass. I got some tear gas, so I ended the night here. Here are some pictures and videos.

The demonstration in which Jared Leto was involved was organized to protest against the obligation for workers in Italy to have the Green Pass, the digital or paper certificate that proves that people have been vaccinated, tested negative or cured from COVID-19.
Starting October 15th in Italy, in fact, all workers – both in the public and private sector – will be required to present a Green Pass in the workplace.
Approximately 10,000 people showed up for the protest on Saturday evening in Piazza del Popolo before hundreds of demonstrators began to make their way to Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Italian Council of Ministers and office of Prime Minister Mario Draghi. Police responded with tear gas and fire hydrants.
Other protesters, led by far-right activists, they also stormed the headquarters of the CGIL. These episodes of violence were harshly condemned by both the aforementioned Mario Draghi and Sergio Mattarella, who expressed their solidarity with the general secretary of the CGIL Maurizio Landini.
Currently in Italy about 43 million people have been fully vaccinated, with COVID-19 hospitalizations steadily declining since early summer. However more than 8 million Italians (15% of the vaccinable population over 12 years of age) he has not yet received even the first dose of the vaccine.
