Guadalajara Jalisco.- In Jalisco will “read” the tests sent by neighboring states to diagnose cases of monkeypox.
The head of the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ), Fernando Petersen, reported that authorization had already been received from the Institute of Epidemiological Diagnosis and Reference (InDRE) for process samples from suspected cases.
“It is a pleasure for me to announce that this Thursday, October 6, at the Jalisco State Public Health Laboratory we will begin to implement the process for the diagnosis of monkeypox,” he announced.
Until today, the InDre was the only authorized authority in the country to process and, as appropriate, confirm diagnoses of this smallpox.
Petersen explained that given the increase in cases throughout the country, the Institute was asked that the State Laboratory be authorized to make the diagnoses.
Given this, the evaluation was carried out by the authorities and the endorsement was given to process the evidence.
