Ivan Krasko was diagnosed with an incurable disease

Soviet and Russian actor Ivan Krasko was diagnosed with an incurable eye disease. About it writes KP.RU with reference to the director of the artist Vyacheslav Smorodinov.

According to him, vision may not return to Krasko. “Both eyes were incurable, and operations at this age are dangerous,” he explained, noting that the treatment was initially wrong.

Smorodinov said that the 91-year-old actor was diagnosed with destruction of the vitreous body, age-related atrophic cicatricial stage. If the disease progresses, it can lead to rupture of the retina and complete blindness. At the moment, doctors can only maintain Krasko’s vision.

In August 2021, People’s Artist of Russia Ivan Krasko suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in intensive care. At the end of 2020, Krasko contracted the coronavirus.
