A unit list headed by the current general coordinator of United Left of Asturies, Ovidio Zapicohas been the only one presented within the deadline established by the party’s electoral board for the next coalition assembly, which guarantees his re-election in office.
The organization is reinforced by a proposal of “consensus and stability” to respond to the challenges of a government party aimed at being a useful tool for the social majority, the coalition says in a statement.
At the close of the candidacy submission period, the electoral board has received only that unitary list that reflects the plurality of the organization and on which, according to the party, “intensive work has been done in order to achieve the consensus and stability that allows strengthening the management bodies and the organization itself.
“The entire organization has acted as expected of a Government force, committed to being a useful tool to respond to all the challenges that, in all areas, are part of our action in defense of the general interest,” said the secretary. of IU Organization, Maximino García.
IU will hold its assembly on December 13 and 14, in which the political and organizational thesis document and statutes, as well as the management report of the outgoing management, will be approved.
