One of the few actors who has worked with the biggest comic book companies is J K Simmons, who has been the singular J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy and Jon Watts’ “Spider-Man: No Way Home”; and Commissioner James Gordon of Gotham City in “Justice League” and “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” But it would not always be up to date with the premieres of this genre.
The actor was consulted by Variety on the red carpet of the Critics Choice Awards about whether he had already seen “The Batman”, the new and darker version of Matt Reeves’ Bat Man, because in a short time we will see him again as Gordon in “Batgirl”.

Unfortunately, JK Simmons revealed that he still hasn’t enjoyed “TheBatman” by Robert Pattinson; however, he made it clear that it won’t take long to do so: “No, not yet, but I will very soon.”
Although in JK Simmons he does not play James Gordon in “The Batman”, the Hollywood figure is no stranger to the character, since, as we mentioned, he will once again play the commissioner in the movie “Batgirl”.

Just recently, at the beginning of 2022, JK Simmons made some statements about the next film of Warner Bros. and DC Comics: “Commissioner Gordon, a former Detective Gordon, is the father of Barbara Gordon; well, also the husband of Barbara Gordon, it gets a little confusing. We call the youngest ‘Babs’ or ‘Bugs’ and she becomes Batgirl. I hope it wasn’t a spoiler, my seat didn’t get electrified so I guess I can say that.”
“Batgirl” will star Leslie Grace. In addition, after many years we will see the talented Michael Keaton again in the Batman suit.
