ROME (Reuters) – Italy recorded 14 deaths from coronaviruses on Saturday from 42 on Friday, the Ministry of Health said. The daily number of new infections rose to 2,983 from 2,732.
Italy has accumulated 131,517 deaths from Covid-19 since the pandemic began in February of last year. The country has the second highest death toll in Europe behind England and the ninth highest accumulated in the world. The country registers 4.72 million cases so far.
