From 25th to 27th September 2024, Turin will become the hub of innovation and technology in Italy, hosting Italian Tech Week at Officine Grandi Riparazioni. The event, organized by Vento, the Italian chapter of the investment fund Exor Ventures, in collaboration with Gedi Gruppo Editoriale and sponsored by important entities such as the City of Turin and local universities, promises three days full of events, debates and masterclasses. The agenda will focus on distinct sectors such as artificial intelligence, mobility, food, healthcare, and climate change, attracting experts, entrepreneurs and innovators from all over the world.
The first day Italian Tech Week
The first day of the Italian Tech Week will be dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to industry, with significant interventions by Fabio Pammollipresident of the new Italian Institute for AI, and the presentation of the interactive sculpture by Mike Winkelmann. In the afternoon, space for sustainable mobility with the voice of experts such as David Hallac and Alex GrantWhile Barbara Nappini of Slow Food Italy will deal with innovations in the food sector. The theme of health will be felt with the contributions of Armon Sharei and Luca Foschini, who will explore the impact of AI and robotics in pharmaceutical researchclosing a day dedicated to cutting-edge technology.
The other days
The second day will see the presentation of an important study on Italian startups curated by Dealroom and will host speeches by influential figures such as Maria de Lourdes Zollo and Diego Piacentini. A moment of particular interest will be the interview between John Elkann, CEO of Exor, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, which will surely provide essential insights on the prospects of emerging technologies. The afternoon will feature discussions on investing and venture building, with notable names such as Doug Leone and Christian Hecker offering valuable insights on the topic.
The third and final day of the Italian Tech Week will focus on the analysis of European markets with the participation of experts from various and prominent sectors, including Benedetto Vigna of Ferrari and representatives of Breakthrough Energy, Bill Gates’ environmental initiative.
