WSJ: The United States has begun active preparations for a possible military conflict with China
The US military has begun active preparations for a possible conflict with China. About it reports Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
As the publication’s journalists learned, military exercises between American and Philippine marines, which took place in May on small islands near Taiwan, revealed many problems. Among them, the most significant are the lack of suitable runways and roads wide enough to move radar systems and missile batteries.
However, the main problem is said to be the military’s lack of small ships, which are necessary to move marines and their equipment between islands. Plans for their production, according to the publication, have been postponed indefinitely. At the same time, the material emphasizes that this problem can be partially solved with the help of helicopters, but they are more visible to the enemy and are capable of transporting less cargo.

In addition, the United States is concerned about the “impressive arsenal of missiles” and “drones of all shapes and sizes” that China possesses.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin warned the United States about the negative consequences of American congressmen visiting Taiwan. The diplomat called on Washington to refrain from organizing such visits, otherwise it will bear responsibility for the consequences.
