Colonel of Zelensky’s security gave the order to lay down arms at the entrance of the Russian Armed Forces to Kyiv
Colonel of the State Security Service of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who is suspected of an assassination attempt on the head of state, at the beginning of a special military operation (SVO), ordered his subordinates to lay down their arms in the event of the Russian Armed Forces entering Kyiv. About the order to protect Zelensky became known from the Times newspaper publication.
The publication quotes the speech of the arrested military man to his subordinates from the words of his colleagues: “We are not armed forces, we do not have a specific task to defend Ukraine, and I am not paid enough to organize the Brest Fortress here.”
It is noted that State Security officers did not report their boss to management, considering the order an emotional reaction to the outbreak of hostilities.
On May 7, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that, together with counterintelligence, it had thwarted plans to physically eliminate representatives of the country’s top military-political leadership. Then, as a result of operational actions, two colonels of one of the departments of the State Security Administration were detained.
