War Israel, Hamas rejects the ceasefire agreement
According to what Adnkronos writes, Hamas sources quoted by the Saudi but London-based newspaper Asharq al-Awsat explained that the Palestinian organization wants clear guarantees on the end of the war in Gaza once the hostage agreement is signed. “Israel is manipulating. They want a temporary truce and then start the war again.”the sources said, saying the Israelis use “ambiguous” wording in the text of the agreement that “is open to interpretation.”
According to the Times of Israel, however, the position of the sources cited by the Saudi-owned newspaper does not appear to be a formal rejection of the agreement. Yesterday, Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh said the US organization would approach “seriously and positively” any ceasefire agreement based on the total cessation of the war and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, for his part insists on the fact that will not accept any hostage deal that prevents Israel from completing its goal of eliminating Hamas.
