Ciudad Juarez.- Isela Molina, head of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), reported that the private sector has prepared a document to request a specific date for the completion of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) hospital from the head of the Executive, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, as well as from the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum.
He stated that it is essential that the head of the Executive and his successor commit to completing the building, and provide details to the private sector regarding the delivery of each stage and the hiring of specialists who will work there serving the people on the border.
“As CCE, we are already prepared with a document in which we are demanding that we be given a completion date for all stages of the hospital construction. We all know that we longed for a third-level hospital here, but we know that there is a lack of equipment and personnel,” he said.
He added that it is important that the Federation focus its attention, in addition to the new building, on meeting the needs that also exist in the other clinics in the town. He mentioned that there are multiple requirements for the beneficiaries to receive suitable treatment.
“Specialists, support staff, medicines, the issue of finishing the work are needed, and not only that, we know that we also have deficiencies in the other clinics. We want them to give us a commitment date for the completion of the work and to have information ourselves,” he said.
He mentioned that through the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra), which he also represents, they want to “raise their hand” to participate in the Citizen Council that has been included in all the tours and has access to the management of invested funds.
“A month ago we still had 700 thousand pesos left in the budget for the project and so we don’t know when they were applied or if they weren’t, etc. The Council is involved in everything and we want to strengthen this Citizen Council,” said the businesswoman.
He stressed that perhaps a sub-secretariat for Border Affairs could be considered in the municipality, so that the dynamics of the border as well as its needs are known and that the best solutions to the infrastructure, economic and binational needs are managed from the central level.
