Interim reports | International sales strengthened Marimekko's profit at the end of the year

Clothing and design company Marimekko's international sales increased at the end of the year, and turnover in Finland also increased slightly. In October-December, Marimekko's turnover increased by five percent from a year ago.

Marimekko's comparable operating profit rose to 8.3 million euros in October-December, compared to 6.9 million euros a year earlier.

The operating profit was increased especially by the increase in turnover but also by the improvement in the relative sales margin. Operating profit, on the other hand, was reduced by higher fixed costs.
