We listened to the songs competing at the Festival which starts on February 1st. Lots of love, lightness, few references to the pandemic and radio sounds
We listened, as a preview for journalists, to the twenty-five songs that will participate in the Sanremo Festival, broadcast on Rai 1 from 1 February. Lots of love, lightness, few references to the pandemic, many radio songs. It is not easy to judge the songs after just one listen, on stage they often transform, here are our first impressions and our votes.
ACHILLE LAURO: 6.5
–
“Sunday” – Achilles in full swing, as in “Rolls-Royce”. Curious to discover his disguises.
GIUSY FERRERI: 6.5
–
“Honey” – Voice penetrating from the first note, hoping for a return. Like hers at the Festival.
MICHELE BRAVI: 6.5
–
“Winter of flowers” – “You teach me how to learn happiness”. Nice text, sung with sweetness.
RKOMI: 7
–
“Insuperable” – The idol of young people sings an electric love. “Hovering on a barbed wire / I feel in danger / And I obstinately / to stay on it”. The mistakes that repeat themselves, a classicon.
IRAMA: 6
–
“Wherever you will be” – Contact with Nature, distance, poetry, the memory that allows you to have a person next to you who is no longer there. Good feelings, but must be listened to again.
NOEMI: 6.5
–
“I love you I can’t say” – “I can go to the moon / but I love you I can’t say”. The importance of accepting one’s flaws. Noemi scratches, but not too much.
MASSIMO RANIERI: 8
–
“Letter beyond the sea” – Returns to the Festival after 25 years. An intense song that enters the skin. The seas that divide us, the land that should give us a foothold for life.
AKA 7EVEN: 5.5
–
“Perfect this way” – A love song on the radio.
EMMA: 7
–
“Every time it is like this” – Emma has put herself back into the game and the determination is not lacking: “Every time it is like this / We are saints or whores”. Francesca Michielin conducts the orchestra.
HIGHSNOB & HU: 6.5
–
“Take care of yourself” – Nice mix of voices. “By now I have found the courage to stay away from you …”. A rare achievement.
VAT ZANICCHI: 6
–
“I want to love you” – Back to the sixties, to dance halls, to the love that makes us feel alive. The text does not convince us, the voice of the legendary eagle from Ligonchio does.
D’ARGEN D’AMICO: 7
–
“Dove si balla” – Producer, he defines himself as “cantautorap”. A dance track in which dance becomes an escape from everyday problems, you dance to stay afloat (“I don’t talk to my dog / but there is a good relationship”).
SANGIOVANNI: 7
–
“Butterflies” – “Butterflies do not fly / I am no longer in my skin / I have lost my emotions / Do you find them again?”. Sangiovanni rhythm.
YUMAN: 5.5
–
“Now and here” – “Now and here, I can believe it / I cry loudly that I’m fine, tomorrow we will see”.
THE LIST REPRESENTATIVE: 7
–
“Ciao ciao” – A song about the end of the world interpreted with freshness.
MAHMOOD & BLANCO: 7
–
“Chills” – “Naked with shivers / sometimes I don’t know how to express myself / and I would like to love you”. Amadeus asked each of them for a song, but they showed up together. A nice meeting.
GIANNI MORANDI: 7.5
–
“Open all the doors” – A beautiful text by Jovanotti in the wake of “L’Allegria”. A hymn to optimism, to wake up in the morning with the desire to get involved. Go Gianni!
MATTEO ROMANO: 5
–
“Viral” – At first listen it didn’t get there.
THE VIBRATIONS: 6.5
–
“Tantissimo” – Pop-rock song about love pains, full of energy. We vibrate.
FABRIZIO MORO: 7
–
“Sei tu” – Intense track, soundtrack for the film “Ghiaccio”, his first work that revolves around the world of boxing.
ELISA: 7
–
“Or maybe it’s you” – His voice penetrates like a blade, the song is dense.
DITONELLAPIAGA AND RECTOR: 7
–
“Chemistry” – Provocative and provocative, they go wild at full speed. “And I don’t care about modesty / the nuns I totally give a damn / and I don’t get morals”. In the end it is a question of chemistry.
GIOVANNI TRUPPI: 7
–
“Your father, my mother, Lucia” – Neapolitan singer-songwriter much appreciated in France. A good bet. “To love you is to believe that / that what I will be will be with you”.
TANANAI: 5
–
“Casual sex” – Him, her, the others. “Don’t worry about us, never calm down, calm down, I never liked her”. Stay calm.
ANA MENA: 6
–
“Two hundred thousand hours” – Latin rhythm, text and music by Rocco Hunt. Let’s Dance.
