After the leaks of recent weeks, new confirmations arrive on the arrival of two Intel Battlemage Xe2 GPUs dedicated to gaming.
GPUs Intel Battlemage Xe2 are once again the center of attention: a shipping order from Momomo_US has leaked the arrival of two samples of the new chips from the Californian company.
The GPUs should be intended for the new graphics cards dedicated to gaming arriving during 2024 and are called Battlemage-G10 and Battlemage G-21, acronyms already known to technology enthusiasts. Let's discover the new details together.
Two GPUs dedicated to gaming
The two SKUs had already been revealed by RedGamingTech thanks to an internal Intel roadmap that showcased the high-end BMG-G10 model with a TDP of up to 225W and the BMG-g21 model for the mid-range with TDP up to 150W.
The leak coming from the Momomo_US shipment essentially confirms the arrival of the two GPUs. It also seems that the Battlemage-BG10 version is already being tested in the American company's laboratories: the testing tools for the new chips should be slightly larger than those used for the Alchemist series, which could anticipate a final packaging bulkier than the current ones.
We already know that for the Battlemage range, Intel will use the Xe2 architecture in two different segments: the series HPG “High-Performance Graphics” will be aimed at dedicated graphics cards for laptops and desktops, while the series LPG “Low-Power Graphics” it should make its debut alongside the Lunar Lake chips intended for ultrabook solutions.
What can we expect?
The Battlemage GPUs should bring a maximum of 64 Xe2 cores, with the flagship model preparing to battle NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4070, while the low-power variant will be positioned in the GeForce RTX 4060 range.
In recent days, some features have emerged relating to two Battlemage Xe2-HPG GPUs with 20 and 24 Xe2 cores, combined with 12 GB of VRAM.
Together with the new graphics cards Intel could launch the own XeSS frame generation technology, developed to take advantage of the capabilities of the Battlemage architecture. All that remains is to wait for the official announcement to find out the definitive characteristics of the new Intel GPUs.
