The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) will return with the scheduling of face-to-face attendance of the services available on the portal My INSS from March 14th.

Since 2020, with the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the INSS has reduced in-person visits and was only scheduling services that could not be done remotely, such as medical expertise, social assessment, professional rehabilitation and administrative justification.

“As of March 14, citizens will be able to schedule face-to-face service for all services available on the Meu INSS portal and app. This includes requests for retirement and pension for death, issuance of extracts, certificates and other documents, obtaining results, among many others”, says a note from the INSS.

Scheduling of services continues through My INSS or by calling 135. “The services continue to be available entirely digitally, without the need to go to the branches”, highlights the INSS. According to the Institute, there are 91 services that can be accessed digitally.

In exceptional cases, in which the insured person does not have access to the internet or telephone, he can look for physical agencies to make an appointment or clarify doubts. However, the units that provide this type of service, within the standards of safety, hygiene and distancing will be defined after March 30.
