In a verification operation in the Jaumave area, Tamaulipas, the National Migration Institute (INM) carried out the identification and rescue of two families of Kazakh origin who were in an irregular situation in Mexico. This assisted return is part of the INM’s commitment to safeguarding the human rights of migrants.
The families, made up of ten people in total, were divided into two nuclei: the first, with two adults and two minors, and the second, with two adults and four minors. After their identification, they were transferred to the facilities of the Comprehensive Family Development System (DIF) in Ciudad Victoria, where they were provided with comprehensive care.
In coordination with the DIF authorities, the evaluation of the situation of minors was carried out, always prioritizing the principle of the best interests of girls, boys and adolescents. This evaluation determined the need to organize your safe return to Kazakhstan.
The repatriation process included an air transfer managed by the INM, with the accompaniment of immigration agents specialized in the care of minors and vulnerable people. This protocol sought to guarantee the maximum safety and well-being of families during their trip.
During their stay in the DIF facilities and throughout the documentation process, the families maintained constant communication with their relatives in Kazakhstan through telephone calls. Furthermore, the presence of Kazakh consular authorities was crucial to facilitate the procedures and ensure that the rights of migrants were respected at all times.
