Inetum bet on Aragon. The company plans to grow in the Aragonese community both in its own activity in the IT sector as hand in hand with various projects and collaborations with other companies as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft. An impulse that will be transferred to the generation of employment with the forecast of reach 400 professionals in two years in Aragonese territory.
Among the first steps taken by Inetum within this boost to activity in Aragon are the new offices in Parque Dinamiza of Zaragoza in which 100 people already work, a figure that is expected to rise to 250 by 2026.
Currently, a total of 185 people (with an average age below 40 years and 41% women) work at Inetum in Aragón, although the forecast is to reach 400 employees in the three centers in the community within three yearsaccording to Manuel García del Valle, CEO of Inetum in Iberia Latam.
This increase in staff comes hand in hand with the company’s strategic lines for the coming years, which include the location in Monzón of a center of excellence in Microsoft technologies and that will involve new additions.
In addition, professionals will grow in the Walqa technology park, where they have created a cybersecurity team “very strong”, in addition to collaborating with AWS. 16 people already work in this enclave, indicates Ion Ander Bordonaba, general director of Inetum Spain.
The company works with the University of Zaragoza where it has the Inetum Chair of Cybersecurity and Cloud in order to promote research, development and innovation and the training of new professionals. Among the main lines of action in this field, research projects in cybersecurity, recognition of doctoral theses, master’s thesis or conferences and thematic workshops stand out.
“The company will not only demand new professionals in the coming years. It is also getting involved firsthand to help shape the profiles that will be demanded in the future,” says Mar Vaquero, vice president and Minister of Economy of the Government of Aragon.
Inetum is currently the European leader in digital services. It has 28,000 consultants and specialists, who work with companies and the public sector. It also has a presence in 7 countries and has 21 service centers.
