The National Electoral Institute (INE) reported that the platform where citizens can find out the voting place and much more information for the 2024 elections.
The electoral body launched the site “locate your box“so that 98 million 329 thousand 591 Mexicans identify the place where they will vote on June 2.
The page is https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/, which will operate starting May 15.
If you are looking for the location of your polling station in Mexico, you will need to have your voting credential on hand, since the required data is the federative entity and the electoral section. With this information, you can check your box through the National Electoral Institute website or in the official mobile application.
For those who are abroad and wish to vote in person, it is also possible to check the location of the polling stations in the United States, Canada, France and Spain.
The INE provides detailed information on the places where the polls will be installed so that Mexicans residing abroad can exercise their right to vote in an easy and accessible way.
It is important to remember that to vote abroad it is necessary to previously register on the nominal list of voters residing abroad and have a valid voting credential. Once registered, you will be able to locate your polling station and participate in the elections from the country where you are located.
Deadline to request the reprint of your Credential
In addition, the INE reported that the deadline to request the reprint of your Voting Credential (without changing data) expires on May 20 and the deadline to collect it is no later than May 31, so that you can participate in the election day of June 2, 2024.
To carry out this procedure, it is necessary for citizens to locate the Citizen Attention Module (MAC) closest to their home, which they can do through the INE web portal.
Once the MAC is located, an appointment must be scheduled in the Citizen Service System or by telephone through INETEL.
It is important for citizens to carry the required documents, such as their birth certificate or naturalization letter, photo identification, and recent proof of address. These documents are necessary to complete the credential reprint process.
Once at the MAC, citizens will be attended to in accordance with the protocols established by the INE. Finally, they must return to the same Module on the indicated date to collect their new Voting Credential.
