He National Electoral Institute (INE) has issued an opinion in which it declares the voting request of 27,913 Mexicans residing abroad is inadmissible to participate in the next election.
This determination is based on the anomalies detected in the registration process of the Nominal List of Mexicans Abroad.
Besides, The INE has launched an important notification addressed to the Mexican community residing abroadinforming them about the exclusion from the Nominal List of Voters Resident Abroad (LNERE) due to inconsistencies detected in the applications and documentation presented.
The organization noted that it is crucial that those who have received this notification contact the INE as soon as possible to clarify their situation and proceed with registration on the electoral list.
The INE has established official channels to provide personalized attention and resolve any doubts that may arise in this process.
In recent weeks, political parties presented a total of 161,623 observations related to the Nominal List of Mexicans Abroad.
These observations ranged from cases of people who had their voter ID registered in Mexico but requested to vote from abroad, to registrations made from the same computer, among other irregularities.
The Executive Directorate of the Federal Voter Registry identified that 39,724 records presented possible irregularities, of which 18,203 had problems related to the signature, 861 with proof of address and 12,574 lacked the necessary requirements in the voter ID card.
In addition, 8,086 records were detected that were made with copies of documentation or incomplete information. After an exhaustive analysis, the INE determined that these 27,913 applications were inadmissible due to the inconsistencies and irregularities found in the application requirements.
Despite this decision, political parties expressed discontent at the relatively low number of inadmissible applications.
According to the report provided by the INE to the party leaders, the Nominal list of people registered to vote from abroad amounts to 181,388 registrations.
Of these, 120,946 will choose to vote online, 47,647 by postal mail and 12,735 in person.
In addition, 6,060 postal registrations have been incorporated as a precautionary measure, since at the time of registration closure, their credentials were in process.
The INE will contact them so they can choose between the postal modality or the in-person modality in special boxes.

The INE assured that specialized personnel are available to analyze each case individually, offering guidance and assistance to guarantee that citizens residing abroad can exercise their right to vote in the next elections.
